I apologize for the difficulty you had trying to find out how to close your shipstation account. You can definitely cancel your account at any time. Just go to settings > account > subscription and there is a "cancel your subscription here" option.
To cancel a ShipStation order, go to the shipment details by clicking the shipment # in the order details or shipments grid. Select 'void label' under 'other actions'. You'll receive a message confirming a refund request will be sent, following the shipping provider's rules. Click 'continue'. Remember, you can also cancel through Xpendy, but with additional costs.
For us and canada-based accounts on starter through enterprise plans, you are only charged the monthly add-on fee. You are not charged any per label fees. For accounts on high volume plans, the ability to add your own carriers is included so there is no additional monthly fee.
